Taekwondo Classes
Ages 6 and up
Beginning Taekwondo
This is a beginning Taekwondo class for all ages. Adults, children and families are welcome. In this class students learn basic punches, blocks, kicks and their first form. On the last day of class, students break a board using one of the Taekwondo moves they have learned. Wear loose fitting clothing to class; uniforms are not required but may be purchased from the instructor.
Intermediate Taekwondo
Students who complete the beginning Taekwondo class, can move onto a higher level class called an Intermediate class. The class practices a series of basic Taekwondo moves as part of the warm-up. They then do forms. Following this, students practice self defense moves with a partner to learn timing, proper execution of blocks, strikes, punches and kicks. More advanced students practice defenses against grabs, chokes and other attempts to restrain or harm them. The class then moves on to kicking and ends with students doing free sparring.

Drills and strategies for tournament style non-contact sparring. For students with prior experience or instructor's permission.
